General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)
1. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to the use of the online service "ReiseSOS" (the "Service"), operated by Lukas Pratter, Kirchberg 53, 8422 Sankt Nikolai ob Drassling, Austria (referred to as "we" or the "operator"). They apply to all registered users. Deviating terms proposed by users are not recognized unless we expressly agree to them in writing.
2. Service Description
ReiseSOS allows users to store emergency contacts as well as optional bank, insurance, hotel and travel details, and retrieve them from any internet-enabled device if needed.
- Free plan: up to 2 emergency contacts.
- Premium: up to 50 emergency contacts, as well as bank, insurance, hotel and travel document data, ad-free. Premium applies for the period selected at the time of order (see pricing below) starting from receipt of payment and does not renew automatically.

3. Registration and Conclusion of Contract
Use of the Service requires registration with truthful information (first name, last name, date of birth, PIN, security question, email address). Completing registration establishes a free-of-charge usage contract for the free plan. The contract for a Premium upgrade is concluded upon successful completion of payment.
Users are obliged to keep their PIN and security question answer secret and to protect them from access by third parties. We accept no liability for damages resulting from users sharing their access credentials with third parties.
4. Prices and Payment Terms
The free plan is free of charge. No payment details are required for free services. The Premium upgrade is offered for the selectable terms listed above (prices include statutory VAT where applicable). Payment is processed through our payment provider, Stripe. The purchase price is due immediately upon ordering. Following successful payment, Premium is activated immediately for the selected term.
5. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers are generally entitled to a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG). The withdrawal period begins upon conclusion of the contract (payment of the Premium upgrade). To exercise the right of withdrawal, an informal notice to the contact email address stated above is sufficient.
Because Premium access is, at the express request of the user, fully activated immediately upon receipt of payment – and therefore already during the withdrawal period – we obtain separate, explicit consent to immediate performance of the contract before payment is triggered in the order process. With this consent, users simultaneously confirm that they are aware that the right of withdrawal expires once the service has been fully performed (§ 18(1) no. 11 FAGG). Without this consent, the order process will not continue.
6. User Obligations
- Provide truthful and up-to-date information during registration and when maintaining your data.
- No abusive use, in particular no automated mass account creation.
- Keep access credentials (PIN, security answer) confidential.
7. Availability and Liability
We aim to keep the Service available as uninterrupted as possible, but cannot guarantee this (e.g. in the case of maintenance work, force majeure, or outages at hosting/payment providers). We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as under the provisions of the Austrian Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are only liable in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations, and liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability for the loss of stored data is excluded to the extent permitted by law; we recommend that you additionally back up important data yourself.
8. Term, Termination, Account Deletion
The free plan runs for an indefinite period and can be terminated permanently by users at any time themselves in the Dashboard under "Delete account" (confirmed with your own PIN); alternatively, an informal notice to the email address stated above is also sufficient. Premium periods expire automatically after the booked duration and do not renew automatically. We reserve the right to suspend accounts if there is reasonable suspicion of abuse (e.g. repeated incorrect entries, manipulation).
9. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these terms with effect for the future, for example due to changes in the scope of the Service or legal requirements. We will inform registered users of material changes in a suitable manner (e.g. by email or a notice in the Dashboard).
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the consumer's country of residence remain unaffected. For disputes with businesses, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction for our registered seat in Austria shall have jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Final Provisions
Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
